Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee

Order Ahead Prototype

The Challenge

Jack’s was serving over 50,000 people a week and growing with locations across Manhattan and Eastern Long Island. Due to customer growth, wait times were becoming an issue mainly for their morning commuters.
Main challenge was ease the in-store wait times, so customers can quickly grab items and go.

How might we increase basket size by encouraging customers to buy new, complementary drinks or snacks?
How do we empower our current customers while attracting news ones?

Research and Discovery

Utilizing the one week I had for research, I went onsite to survey customers to see if they would be interested
in using an app that lets you order ahead.

Next I researched features using a competitive analysis of other NYC coffee competitors offering order ahead applications. Being this was just the initial version I used the Moscow Method to narrow down MVP features.

Initial Prototype

Moving Forward…
Being this was the initial MVP, there were some things that I wanted to continue to develop:

Test MVP with users to better flesh out features and find what’s missing • Design Custom Dashboard • Allow for power users to save favorite past orders for faster reordering • Integrate gamification to redeem rewards with suggested items • Personalized Offerings • Featured Drinks and Treats • Add secondary payment options gift cards etc.
